To Richard, Heather Greg, Wendy, Robert, Sheila, Jeanette and Family and Areta s Friends. Shirley and I have known Areta all our lives for all of us beginning in Red Rock and Stanley and from years of reunions at St Peter s Church , on Stanley s hill. We also shared the same Aunties through the Hood Family. My Mother was Edna Hood. I also kept aware of Areta and Lois, because I worked with Estella for years. Despite living away- coming home ,and ,meeting Areta and Carl at church in Stanley was a happy occasion. Shirley and Bill would bump into them at Fredericton and area. We were very saddened last week to learn of your great loss of your beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. Areta was a very special person and a bright light to all who knew and loved her. Please accept our deepest condolences to you all as you gather to celebrate Areta tomorrow. Greg, Richard and Families, we were so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Areta was a wonderful, caring person who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was one of a very few people who remembered me as a child and could tell me stories about my parents and my childhood.. Although we did not get together often, I thoroughly enjoyed the times when we could catch up on our daily lives and talk of past family events. May all your happy memories help you through this very difficult time. Hugs to you all.

We were so glad we have the opportunity to visit Areta in her home during a trip to NB in October of 2022. I asked her if she remembered the day that Lois and her took their young cousin Neil for his first ride on the Ferris wheel at the Stanley fair. That was a long time ago, but I remember. I also remember family visits by Carl and Areta, I think for the benefit of Bliss and I, after loosing our father at a young ages. I will always remember. We offer our condolence in your loss.
