Obituary of Michael Thomas Spears
It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Spears announce his sudden passing on February 4, 2025, at the age of 64 years.
Michael will be lovingly remembered by his partner Karen Gadd; special nieces that he loved dearly, Amanda (Ryan) Alexa, Gabby, Kenzie, Brooke, and Aurora; his aunt, uncle, brother, and nephews. He will also be missed by his special friends Allyson and Doug, and so many more great friends and golf buddies. He was loved by his chosen brothers-in-law and sister-in-law. Our hearts are broken.
He was predeceased by his mother, Barbara Johnstone, and beloved Uncle Tom.
Michael lived and breathed golf. You could find him on the golf course daily, his favourites being Covered Bridge Golf & Country Club in Hartland and Gage Golf and Curling Club in Oromocto, New Brunswick. He loved his car almost as much as he loved the Toronto Maple Leafs. During the cold months you could find him woodworking or teaching friends and family some of his vast array of skills. Everything he built was meticulous, whether it be coffee tables or doll beds for his favourite girls. He loved hard, played hard, and will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to meet him.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Oromocto Legion on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 3:00 – 6:00pm. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
