Obituary of Erna Roberta Scribner

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Erna Roberta Scribner announces her passing on February 12, 2025 at home.  Born on April 14, 1943 in Tracy, New Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late William and Ruby (Bunker) Thomason. 

Erna worked for over 35 years in the grocery industry as Head Cashier.  After retiring she enjoyed spending time with her husband, George.  She was a lady of faith and was a member of the United Church.  She was an avid dog lover. 

Surviving are her children, Ed (Cathy) Logan, Clarendon; Trent (Debra) Logan, Clarendon; Elona (Tom MacDonald) Beckett, Hampton; and Lynda (Donald) McAleer, Welsford; grandchildren, Michael (Kaitlyn), Brittney (Mike), Chelsea (Ryan), Carter (Lauren), Anthony (Rebekah), Amanda (Jeff) and Bryan (Esther); 12 great grandchildren; sister, Audrey; brother, Vernon (Marj); sister-in-law, Pat; many nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, George and brothers, Donnie and Basil.

A funeral service will take place on February 18, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Lori Beth Sheffield-Bowles will officiate.  Spring interment will take place at a later date.
