Obituary of Frederick Thomas Connell

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Frederick Thomas Connell announce his passing on February 14, 2025 at the Dr Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on June 15, 1938 in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late Lillian (Vantassel) and Matthew Connell. 

Fred is survived by his children, Michael (Marilyn) Connell, Michele (Norman) Ross, David Connell and Paul (Robin) Connell; grandchildren, Robyn, Crystal, Andrew, Sara, Kaetlin, Maghan, Erik and Darren; great grandchildren, Emily and Tayze; sister, Rosalie Savoy; brother, Wayne Connell. 

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Louise,  of 56 years; sister, Marie Lingley; brothers, William and Garrett Connell; father-in-law, William Finlay and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Finlay. 

Graveside service will take place in the spring at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Saint John.  Donations in Fred’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
