Obituary of Jean-Guy Ringuette

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jean-Guy “Pete” Ringuette announce his passing away on February 24, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on January 17, 1949, he was the son of the late Adrien and Jeananne (Morin) Ringuette. 

Pete loved to work around his garage; he was considered a jack of all trades.  He enjoyed the time he spent in his boat and had quite a passion for woodworking.  He was a loving husband, father, and dearly loved his grandchildren. 

Surviving are his wife, Wanda; children, Philip Rogers (Tammy), Nicole Longhurst, Daniel Ringuette, and Marcel Ringuette; grandchildren, Hunter, Jordan, Julie, Sam, Miley, Dillan, Zachary and Austin; brother, Maurice Ringuette (Debbie); sisters, Francine Ringuette, Denise Ringuette, Adrianne O’Halloran (John), Jocelyn “Gabrielle” Ringuette (Richard) and Elizabeth Jones; as well as many nieces and nephews.  

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son, Claude Ringuette; brother, Yves; sisters, Giselle and Gabrielle. 

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses on 4SE, the Oromocto Extra Mural Staff, especially Nurse Janet. As well as a big thank you to all of the friends that were there for them through this difficult time, with a special thank you to Brian Logue. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11:00 am with Fr. Callistus Abazie as celebrant. For those who are unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed here:https://vimeo.com/event/4950848. Interment will take place at a later date.
