Obituary of Mary "Margaret" Whynot

It is with heavy hearts that the children of Mary “Margaret” Whynot announce her peaceful passing on Sunday, March 9, 2025.  She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Whynot, and she was the last of her siblings.

She is survived by her children; Judy O’Donnell (Harry), Brenda Taylor, Robert Whynot (Wendy), and Jennifer Tarrant (Scott); along with her 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, all of whom she cherished.

She loved gardening, and spent many volunteer hours with the Oromocto Hospital, RCL Ladies Auxiliary and her favorite charities. 

A special thank you to everyone at the OPH, DECH and the SJRH for their care of Mary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 11:00 am, with Fr. Callistis Abazie as celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
