Obituary of Larry Brennan

We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of our dear brother, Lawrence “Larry” Edward Brennan in the early morning hours of March 15, 2025, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Larry was born on April 2, 1958, to the late James Brennan and Margaret (Jukes) Brennan in Fredericton, NB.

Larry leaves behind his five siblings, Dianna Shannon (late Thomas), Grace Ayles (Jerry), Margaret Wall (Edwin), Douglas Brennan (Amelia Parker), and James Brennan Jr. He is also survived by his nephews, Michael Wall (Susan), Patrick Wall (Marcie), Dana Wall (Tally); their children, Keegan, Gabriel, Noah, Charlie, Liam, and Evan; one niece, Melissa Brennan (Denise Springett); his aunt, Grace (Brennan) MacCollum of Saint John, NB, and numerous cousins.

Larry retired from Service New Brunswick where he worked in the Administration branch. After he retired, Larry wrote and published a fantasy fiction, The Winfields: Quest for the Dalmage Grimoire in June 2024, fulfilling a lifelong dream. He will always be remembered as one to pitch in and help family and to make friends with any animal he met. He was keenly interested in computers and was an avid reader. He had a quirky sense of humour and enjoyed his own company. Larry led a quiet life after he retired and lived with his sister, Dianna, and brother, James.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the medical staff of the ER and the ICU for their care and kindness.

In keeping with Larry’s wishes, there will be no service of remembrance. Cremation has taken place, and a private burial of ashes is planned. A celebration of Larry’s life will take place at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Oromocto SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice.
