Obituary of Francis "Frank" Murphy
It is with broken hearts that the family of Francis "Frank" Robert Ross Murphy announces his sudden passing on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in Fredericton, NB. Born in Halifax, NS, on Monday, March 9, 1936.
Francis is survived by his brother, John Murphy; children, Carol-Ann Murphy (Reg), Shawn Murphy (Angela), Mark Murphy; stepchildren, Roxena Savile (Wally), Michael Park (Lynn), Glenn Park, Terry Park (Lori), Russell Park, as well as many grandchildren and great grand children; special friend, Laurie Wilson and dog, Chrissy.
Besides his parents and brother Dennis, he was predeceased by his first wife, Carolle Carr, and second wife, Daphne Park; daughter, Tina Wordan; stepdaughter, Penny Rowsell; grandson, Micheal Flarow; step grandson, Chanie Savile, and step granddaughters, Shannon Savile and Penny Park
Frank always enjoyed special times and holiday gatherings with family and friends. Dessert he considered a meal. He was a caring, kind, and loving soul, always happy to help anyone in need, he was so jolly and positive. He could light up any room.
He enjoyed road trips and camping, and most of all, he enjoyed the water and a great day of fishing. He loved his grandchildren, he was a kid at heart, enjoyed a good pillow fight, and acting silly.
Francis served 6 years in the Canadian Military SIGS. He then went on to pursue a career as a firefighter for 27 years at the Oromocto Fire Department as well as an ambulance attendant. He was also a faithful member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent de Paul Church.
He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor and gentle spirit and dedication to his family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Oromocto Funeral Home from 5-7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Oromocto, on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 12 pm with Father Callistus Abazie as celebrant. For those unable to attend, this event will be livestreamed at https://vimeo.com/event/5034655. A reception will follow in the church hall. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Francis' memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
