Obituary of Patricia Mary Catherine Finlay

It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia “Trish” Finlay announces her passing on April 10^th, 2025, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on February 12, 1969, in Stephenville, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of Lillian (Jeddore) Finlay of Waasis, NB, and the late Gerald Finlay.

Patricia worked and lived in various places throughout Canada and people knew her as kind and generous. She had a very keen sense of humour and had a great ability in making people laugh with her impressions. She would go out of her way to help anyone in need. Family was very important to her and she would often volunteer to help family members whenever needed. She took great care of her mother and aunts. Another important part of her life were her beloved cats, Riley and Scout. Riley and Scout were loved so much, even after Scout’s passing last year.

Patricia will be greatly missed by her mother, Lillian; siblings, Gerry Finlay (Sharon) of Edmonton, AB, Craig Finlay (Manda) of Halifax, NS, Peter Finlay (Carrie) of Edmonton, AB, Bob Finlay (Maureen) of Victoria, BC, and Rhonda Finlay (Barry Keirstead) of Saint John, NB; beloved friends, Beth of Halifax, NS, and Cathy of Waasis, NB; close co-worker, Lauren, as well as her precious cat, Riley.

In keeping with Patricia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a private family gathering at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to your local SPCA.
