Diane Currier

Obituary of Diane Currier

It is with great sadness that the family of J. Diane Currier announces her passing on May 10, 2025, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on June 17, 1945, in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Mary (Lint) Carr, and wife of the late Dale Currier.

Diane was a lovely lady, looking after and caring for others. Anyone would have been welcomed in her home, and she always put others first. If needed, she would have given them the shirt off her back. Family was essential to her, and she loved them all. Her nieces and nephews were treated just like her own children. In essence, she was a mother figure to all. She was excellent at keeping documents and write-ups regarding her family and their genealogy. If anyone had questions, she would have the answers.

Some of her favourite hobbies were watching her soaps on TV, such as General Hospital and Days of Our Lives, camping and canoeing. She loved animals, and the outdoors. Taking the family out canoeing, camping, walking through the woods were some of the memories that will be cherished forever.

She is survived by her brother, Douglas Carr (Wilma Munn); sisters, Linda Harnish and Lorrie Beauchamp, sister-in-law, Lorraine Carr, as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dianes was predeceased by her brother, Norman Carr, as well as brothers-in-law, Douglas Harnish and Bruce Beauchamp.

By Diane’s request there will be no services. A burial will take place at a later date in the Morrow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane’s memory may be made to the NB Lung association or your local SPCA.
