Obituary of Beverley Anne Adams
Beverley Anne Adams passed peacefully on May 16, 2025, surrounded by family.
Born in St. Foye, Quebec, Bev came into the world with a spark that never dimmed. She left this world deeply loved. We know she’ll visit us again - the hummingbird out our window or that very first bloom in our gardens come spring.
She was predeceased by her parents, Jean and David Doherty; in-laws, Del and Louis Adams; sisters-in-law Linda (Red) and Kathy, and brother-in-law Reggie, Bev now joins them in what we hope is an eternal happy hour filled with card games, frozen margaritas, and laughs that make you cry and pee your pants.
Left to cheer on her memory and pass on her stories are her supportive husband Ralph; sisters, Jode (Bob) and Cyndi (Rob); daughters Stephanie and Shannon (Jake), and her greatest joys: her grandkids Lennon, Asher, Reagan, and Cohen. She also leaves behind her niece Rachel (Kirby); nephew Ryan (Victoria); brother-in-law Terry (Sharon), and the rambunctious nephew crew - Matt (Shelly), Marty (Kim), and Jamie (Tanya). Bev’s love extended coast to coast, with many aunts (especially Mary Lou), uncles, cousins, and family across Canada who will miss her greatly.
Bev was a powerhouse for the many sport organizations she worked with. From the ball field to the hockey rink, she gave her all as a manager, volunteer, coach, announcer, and rubber chicken-wrangler across New Brunswick. Her ability to organize, build relationships, and develop grassroots programs was unparalleled. From her days playing beer bottle bowling and washer toss after a game to supervising Softball Canada championships, she loved her softball family (especially the Divas) and wants them to know they brought her immense happiness to the very end.
She sends her heartfelt thanks and love to her softball and hockey families, her ROD girlfriends, her Pierrefonds school friends, and the Allen family for their support and unforgettable friendship.
Bev lived, loved, and laughed. She was proud of how she lived her dash - that in-between journey between birth and death. Her absence leaves a hole in our hearts but her stories, wisdom, and loving memory live on in all of us.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses and doctors at DECH 3E for their compassion and care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by cheque or e-transfer to Softball New Brunswick’s Janiva Willis Scholarship Fund (scholarships@softballnb.ca).
Celebration of life will take place July 4, 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the Hazen Centre in Oromocto, New Brunswick.
