Obituary of Ralph Allen Tooker

The family is sad to announce the passing of Ralph Allen Tooker at the Dr. Everett Chalmer’s Hospital, Fredericton, New Brunswick, on May 17th, 2025. Born on November 3rd, 1937, in Mount Hanley, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Ludlow and Adelaide (Gehue) Tooker, and beloved husband to the late Donna (Hatt) Tooker.

Ralph will be missed by his children, Patricia Porter-Tooker, Allen Tooker (Darlene Henry-Tooker), Tammy Saulis (Mark), and Ronald Tooker (Bonnie Seguin-Tooker); grandchildren, David Porter, Mackenzie Peter-Paul (Owen), Laura Tooker, Samantha Saulis-Larade (Dillon), Marky Saulis, Bennett Saulis, April Saulis, Jessica Blosser, Renée Seguin, and Tonia Kirkpatrick (Zack); great grandchildren, Anthony, Saige, Ophelia, Jeremiah, Cailyn, Jacob, and Alden; brother, Herb, as well as many extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Ralph was predeceased by his grandsons, Patrick and Christopher, and brothers, Douglas and Gary Tooker.

Ralph was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 31 years, serving with the Black Watch and 2RCR. After leaving the military, he became a Jack of All Trades, lending a hand where needed, like helping out as a custodian at the Burton School, and general handy man at the Ultramar. He was an avid, lifetime member of the Burton Lion’s Club, and was one of the many hands that built the club.

Whenever he was able, Ralph was outdoors, fishing, camping, and gardening. He was a true outdoors man though and through.

A memorial celebration of Ralph's life will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Saturday, May 24th, 2025 at 3:00 pm, with a tribute from the Royal Canadian Legion #93 at 3:30.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Ralph’s name would be appreciated by the family.
