Obituary of Carolyn Currie

The death of Carolyn Currie occurred on May 25th, 2025, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 10th, 1945, in Lower Hainesville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Priscilla (White) Price, and wife to the late Kenneth Currie.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Lisa Wood (Jeffery), Keila Currie, Kimberley Purchase (Rodney); 7 loved stepchildren; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Wanda MacDonald (Mac), and Connie Macphee (Arnold); brother, Peter Price (Lois); her fur companion, Piper; as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law, daughters and sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Kenneth, Carolyn was predeceased by her grandson, Michael Currie; sister, Virginia Course (Greydon), as well as her brothers, Myles Price and Kenny Price.

Carolyn worked at the Hartt Shoe Factory for over 30 years. She specialized in hand sewing RCMP Mountie boots. Her priority after retirement was her family; she adored her grandchildren and loved spending every moment with them.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Elaine Currie, who was our rock and support. We are extremely grateful that you are in our lives.

Also, a special thank you to all the doctors and nursing staff of 4 NorthEast at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, your care and service for our mother was exceptional.

A Graveside Service will take place in August. For those who wish, memorial donations made to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Chalmers Foundation, would be appreciated by the family.
