Obituary of Linda Jo-Ann Wagstaff
It is with broken hearts that the family of Linda Jo-Ann Wagstaff announces her passing on June 15, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 10, 1953 in Sussex, NB. She was the daughter of the late Everett and Phyllis McGarity.
Linda loved nature and spending time in her gardens; where she loved growing her beautiful flowers and plants. Her bird feeders were always full as she loved all the different birds and butterflies who came to visit. Summer was her favourite season for many reasons - the heat, the beach, finding neat rocks or shells and just spending time there in the sun brought her great joy. She loved road trips around NB to places that served the best seafood and lobster. Baking and making fancy desserts was her trademark and everyone knew to hit up her candy cupboard for a sweet treat she had waiting there for you. Linda was a woman of faith and was active with her church assisting with Alpha classes and offering communion at the local Nursing Home. She lived life to the fullest and was happiest spending time with her family especially her grandchildren whom she dearly loved.
Surviving is her devoted husband, John, who absolutely adored her; children, Tammy (Jody) Moss and B.J. “Billy” (Carrie) Wagstaff; grandchildren, J.J., Calvin, Meagan (Alex), Cameron (Morgan), and Meadow; siblings, Irene (Gordon) Lewis, Fred (Betty) McGarity, Doris (Terry) Garland and Georgetta (Peter) Goddard; many nieces and nephews whom she loved and her beloved dog, Blossom.
Visitation will take place at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 2266 Lower Cambridge Road, Cambridge-Narrows, on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 1-2 pm. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Fr. Andrew Horne officiating. Interment will take place at the Church of the Good Shepherd Cemetery.
