Obituary of Linda Gale Harnish

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Linda Gale Harnish announces her passing on June 26, 2025 at Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton.  Born on August 28,1947 in Fredericton, NB she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Mary (Lint) Carr. 

Family was everything to Linda, she was a loving mother and nanny. She enjoyed taking her grandkids to the car races in Geary, watching game shows on television and playing bingo in her younger years; above all she cherished being a Nanny and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren. 

Surviving are her children, Scott (Sabrina), Kevin (Kim), Mindy (Chris) and James (Jenn); grandchildren: Jessie, Austin (Jess), Brandon (Hope), Shealynne (Josh), Mark, Ethen, Emilie (Tyler), Tiffany; Wesley “Frankie”, Kristen, Cole, Dylan, Brayden and Mikaya. 

Great grandchildren: Noah; Lorelai and Julia; Nevaeh and Denver; Aurora and Damon; Paisley and William; and Everleigh. 

Brother, Dougie (Wilma) and sister, Lorrie (the late Bruce), sister-in-law, Lorraine (the late Norman).  Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Douglas; brother,  Norman; and sister Diane (the late Dale).

In keeping with Linda’s wishes there will be a private graveside service at Preston Carr Cemetery, Geary, NB, at a later date.  For those who wish, donations in memory of Linda may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
