Obituary of John Everett Lindsay

It is with immense sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, Dad and Grampy, John Everett Lindsay, on June 26, 2025. 

He is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Ruth; his children, Shannon, Karen and Scott (Sarah); his much-loved grandchildren, Owen (Savannah), Taylor, Kasey, Connor and Oliver, as well as his step-grandchildren, Mercedes, Savanah, Aidan and Noah. He is also grieved by his siblings, Dianna (Roger) and Ted (Eleanor); mother-in-law, Irene Dickison; Ruth’s siblings, Hugh (Kathleen), Larry (Kathy), Joanne Fitzgerald (Bob), Beth Craig (Andy), and Jackie, as well as many nieces and nephews, especially Chris and Drew.

John was predeceased by his parents, Don and Carol; father-in-law, Robert Dickison, and best friend, Mike Randall.

His last few days were spent in the ICU at the DECH. Words can hardly express the kindness that he and the family received from the dedicated and caring staff in the unit he was in.

The family invites those who would like to share memories and raise a toast to John, to a Celebration of Life on Sunday, July 6 at 12 Bonnar Drive, Burton, from 1 - 4 pm. In his memory, we welcome donations to the Oromocto Food Bank, Canadian Cancer Society (Childhood Cancer) or your favourite charity.
