Obituary of Lorraine Carr

It is with great sadness that the family of Lorraine Carr announces her passing on July 11, 2025, at Hospice Fredericton. Born on July 1, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Noreen (Phillips) Carr, and beloved wife of the late Norman Carr.

Yard maintenance was a must for Lorraine. She planted almost everything that was at her home, from flowers to shrubs. Ensuring they were in the best of shape, even going as far as pruning the trees. She enjoyed the peace of the birds while tending to her yard, and admiring her flowers. As for animals, she secretly loved all of her children's pets that found their way to her place.

Lorraine is survived by her son, Noel Carr (Judy); daughter, Megan Carr (Ted Nicholson); grandchildren, Paige Phillips, Malorie Phillps, Garnet Carr, Oakley Carr, Waylon Carr, Cordell Carr, Jace Nicholson, and Quinn Nicholson; great grandchild, Luella Moulton; siblings, Jasper Carr (Heather), Rosalie Carr, Delbert Carr (Doreen), and Arden Carr (Ann Draper); brother-in-law, Dougie Carr; sister-in-law, Lorrie Beauchamp, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lorraine was predeceased by brothers, Edward Carr, and Harry Carr; brother-in-law, Peter Deligny, as well as sisters-in-law, Diane Currier (Dale), and Linda Harnish (Douglas).

A Memorial Service will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 10 am, with Rev. Dr. Perry Hanley officiating. Interment for Norman and Lorraine will be held at the Geary, French Lake, Waterville Cemetery following the service. For those who wish, donations in Lorraine's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
