Obituary of Dorothea Theresa Heinzmann

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothea Theresa Heinzmann, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones, on July 16, 2025, at Hospice House, Fredericton, NB. She was the daughter of Linda (Robar) and the late Ludwig Heinzmann.

Born on November 9, 1972, Dorothea was a kind and caring woman who touched the hearts of many. She had a true passion for gardening and took great joy in tending to her flowers. Dorothea also enjoyed working with her coworkers, and was known for her friendly, hardworking nature. In her spare time, she loved doing crafts, and creating special memories with her grandchildren, whom she adored beyond words.

In addition to her mother, Dorothea is also survived by her loving spouse, Wayne Gray; her daughters, Amber Gray (Stephen), and Allison Heinzmann (Max); her grandchildren, Layla Davidson, Austin and Michael Landry Heinzmann; her brother, Timothy Heinzmann (Glenda); niece, Haileigh Heinzmann; nephews, Jesse and Tyson Heinzmann; sister, Marcelene Robar; nieces, Ashley and Samantha MacDearmid, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved dearly.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, creativity, and unwavering love for her family. Dorothea’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Hospice House whose care was amazing as well as the doctors and nurses at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. We would also like to thank all her friends and family for all their visits, help, support, and love. A special thank you to the wonderful staff and friends that she worked with at the Oromocto Public Hospital whom she cherished and spoke of every day and were always by her side.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm. She will be interred at Oromocto Pioneer Gardens Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made in Dorothea’s honor to the Hospice House in Fredericton.
