Saddened to hear of the passing of Bob. We served together and as a young energetic "Bomber" he was my TSM. On more than one ocassion he had to "sort me out" so to speak. Two of the many that always make me smile "Bombadier Graham might get promoted but Tippy sure as hell won't". A year or 1 later I had been promoted and yet agin I was in front of his desk and he said to me." we gave them to you and we can take them away. Fair firm and friendly and he was always looking out for my best interest on & off duty. Rob, to you and the family my deepest condolences

To Doris, Sue, Rob, Tracy and families. I feel great sorrow today on the passing of your loved one. Bob was a gentleman in all respects. He was kind, witty and funny. He loved to tell stories and was always ready to tell or hear a joke. This is a story that happened many years ago when we lived in Grand Falls. Bob was visiting and had to go to motor registration for some reason. I drove him there and when we got there, he said, I forgot my glasses, you will have to come in with me. So I read out loud everything to him and he signed the papers. When we got outside, Bob was grinning ear to ear. I said what’s so funny, he said I think that girl thought I couldn’t read, I said oh well, she knows you can write your name. That was the joke of the day. Bob you will be missed so much. Rest easy until we meet again.

I served with Bob in Germany while in SSM Bty. He was a super guy, always helpful and cheerful. Many years later his son Rob, was in my troop and I knew at once that the apple did not far from the tree. He too a good man and Bob taught him well. Bob, was, my favorite TSM, it was a pleasure serving with him, he was also, my BSM, during, my second tour of gagetown, he was an exceptional Gunner, a true friend, and it was a honour to have served with him. When I was on my 6A, he offered, me a chew, of Redman, when I finished, the curse, went back to Germany, I would go to the PX, and get enough for whatever ex we were going on.
