Obituary of Robyn Marie Crocker
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robyn Marie (Payne) Crocker who passed away peacefully on July 27th, 2025 at Hospice House in Fredericton, New Brunswick, with her husband Corey laying by her side. Robyn fought a courageous battle until her last breath.
In addition to her husband, Robyn is survived by her son, Finley; daughter, Lucy; mother, Doris Bowers (Todd); brothers, Jonathan Payne (Brandi), Brandon Bowers (Raelyn); sister, Holly Bowers; nephew, Preston; nieces, Lexie, Kennedy and River, along with many other family and close relatives. Robyn is pre-deceased by her loving Nan, Josephine; Dae, John Payne, and cousin, “Jonesy” Justin.
Born on August 4th, 1989, Robyn grew up in Baie Verte, Newfoundland, also spending time in her youngest years in Harbour Round, NL. Robyn enjoyed life growing up in Newfoundland, creating lasting memories. She loved going to Flat Water Pond with family, Sunday drives, playing basketball and creating life long friendships. One thing about Robyn was her friends meant the world to her. Robyn would eventually make the leap and move to New Brunswick to settle down and build her family.
Robyn’s passion and love was working with children. She found a path in life as an Early Childhood Educator which gave her so much joy and fulfillment, eventually becoming an Instructor at NBCC where she flourished helping mold and shape future educators. Her plan was to eventually open her own facility and continue working with and developing young minds. Robyn was extremely proud of the life she had built and everything to follow.
Robyn enjoyed making crafts and was always up for a challenge often saying “you know I could make that”. Her huge heart and selflessness to always help out a friend or loved one with any art project made her so happy. She was also a very good planner and took pride in making sure the kids had the best parties or baked the perfect sweets for that one event. One of Robyn’s favourite places to go was New River Beach with family, she always felt at peace scouring for sea glass. Robyn was very proud of her Newfie roots and shared many of the traditions bestowed within her from growing up in Newfoundland and the cherished memories back home with her Nan and Dae.
Robyn’s first love and her greatest gifts in life were her two children, Finley John (“Bubba”) and Lucy Grace (“LuLu”). Robyn shared that her deepest desire in life was to be a mother. The nurturing, care and affection she showed her kids was something to behold. She wants them to know she fought the whole way and that she loves them with all her heart, mind and soul. Neither time, distance, or death, will separate her heart from theirs.
We are grateful for the Oncology teams at DECH and SJRH, as well the many nurses and staff who provided services throughout Robyn’s journey. We extend a heart felt thank you to the staff at Hospice House Fredericton where Robyn was made comfortable in her last days.
A Funeral Service will take place at Oromocto Baptist Church on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, beginning at 11am, with Rev. Dr. Perry Hanley officiating. A reception will be held in the church hall following the service. For those who wish, donations in Robyn’s memory may be made to Hospice House Fredericton, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of donor’s choice.
