Obituary of Ethel Marie Chiasson

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ethel Marie (Doucet) Chiasson on August 10, 2025. Born in Bathurst, New Brunswick, on June 7, 1918. She was the daughter of the late George J. Doucet and Marguerite Lagacé, and wife of the late James William Chiasson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by her children, George Chiasson (Claudia), of Fredericton, NB, Marjorie Pollick (Allan), of Minto, NB, and Thelma Wasson (Robert), of Boca Raton, FL; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Graveside Service will be held at Saint Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, NB, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 11 am, with Fr. David Fulton officiating. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
