Obituary of Marianne Frances Emery White

It is with sadness that the family of Marianne Francis Emery (Morrison) White announce her passing at Orchard View Long Term Care Home on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Marianne "Bill" was born in Saint John on January 25, 1931 to the late Donald and Frances (Earle) Morrison. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having lost her sister, Agnes, and brothers, Don, George and Daryl. She was also predeceased by daughters, Beth (in infancy) and Brenda Finnan.  She leaves to mourn her 3 sons, Don (Linda) of Calgary, Randy (Cheryl) of Rusagonis, Robert (Diana) of Burton and her son-in-law, Albert Finnan of NC; her 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  Her family was her pride and joy and she enjoyed visits from all of them. 

Marianne enjoyed swimming, completing puzzles, reading, boating on the St John River and traveling. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Orchard View for the care and compassion shown to Marianne over the 5 years while she lived there.  Her final outing from the home was only a month ago to Oak Point where she enjoyed a picnic lunch and time on the beach by the St John River.  

Donations in Marianne’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Orchard View Long Term Care Home or to the Oromocto Public Hospital.
