Obituary of Benjamin Eric Noseworthy
It is with great sadness that the family of Benjamin Eric Noseworthy announce his passing on September 27, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer (Glioblastoma).
Ben was born Dec. 1985 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to parents Iris and Wayne Noseworthy
(surviving). Ben is further survived by his wife Tara Noseworthy (daughter of Dave and
Susanna Withers), their two sons – Cutler and Watson. His brother, Phillip Noseworthy (Alexandra) and his brother-in-law Kyle Withers (Erica), along with many nieces and nephews.
The majority of Ben’s childhood was spent growing up in the Town of Oromocto where he graduated high school in 2004 along with the title of Class President.
After completing his Kinesiology Degree at the University of New Brunswick in 2010, Ben spent nearly 12 years working in management at CFB Gagetown’s fitness facility, followed by 4 years as the General Manager of the Gage Golf & Curling Club, and his last two years as the Tourism and Communications Officer for the Town of Oromocto.
Extensively involved in his community, Ben loved coaching youth baseball and hockey and served as the U7 Director for the Oromocto Minor Hockey Association. Ben’s kindness, generosity and dedication to making the community a better place will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Ben had a strong passion for hunting and fishing (much to Tara’s vexation). His love for the outdoors was only eclipsed by his role as a father.
Ben was gregarious, outgoing and caring, which led him to become tight friends with everyone who knew him.
A celebration of Ben’s life will be held at the Hazen Center in Oromocto on Thursday, October 9th, between 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada.
