Obituary of James William Brennan Jr.

James William Brennan

February 16,1956 – November 27, 2025

Our brother James William Brennan Jr. passed away unexpectedly at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, New Brunswick, in the early morning of November 27, 2025. His family knew him as Jimmy, those who were not family knew him as James. Jimmy was the son of James and Margaret (Jukes) Brennan. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Lawrence Edward Brennan who died on March 15, 2025.

Jimmy is survived by his brother, Douglas Brennan (Amelia Parker); sisters, Margaret Wall (Edwin), Grace Ayles (Ross), and Dianna Shannon (the late Thomas); niece, Melissa Brennan (Denise Springett); nephews, Michael Wall (Susan), Patrick Wall (Marcie), Dana Wall (Tally), and their children, Keegan, Gabriel, Noah, Charlie, Liam, and Evan; aunt, Grace (Brennan) MacCollum of Saint John, NB, and numerous cousins in Fredericton, Moncton, Saint John, and Ontario.

Jimmy was an avid sports fan who never wavered from his lifelong support of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the New York Yankees. He loved a good debate about sports. He also followed politics, especially New Brunswick politics.

He was a league bowler for 15 years and worked as a cook for the Coffee Mill Restaurant in Fredericton for 25 years until his retirement.

There will be no service of remembrance. Cremation has taken place and a  private burial of ashes is planned. A celebration of Jimmy’s life will take place at a  later date.

For those who wish, in the spirit of the season, memorial donations may be made to the Oromocto SPCA, or a local food bank in your area.
