Obituary of Keeghan Andrew Richard Marchand

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son and brother, Keeghan Andrew Richard Marchand, 19, on November 29th, 2025. Born on September 22nd, 2006, in Fredericton, NB, he was the cherished son of James “Jimmy” Marchand, and Amanda (Wheeler) Marchand.

Keeghan had a passion for all sports, especially hockey, dirt biking, and ATV riding. His beloved hockey team was the Keswick Valley Islanders. It wasn’t just the game he cherished, but also the long-lasting friendships he built with his teammates.  Superstore was his new employment this year and he enjoyed working there.

He passed away doing what he loved, gaming with his buddies online. Keeghan was a kind-hearted, passionate, stubborn young man with a heart of gold. He was loved greatly, and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Keeghan leaves behind his mother, Amanda; father, Jimmy; sister, Cadence (Ethan); younger brother, Carter, who lost his best friend; paternal grandmother, Martha Marchand; maternal grandfather, Richard Wheeler; uncles, noki Andrew Jr. (Jackie), and noki Jerry (Lisa); best friends, Aiden, Brady, and Dom; fur buddies, Kingston, Kingsley, Pepper 2.0, and Ollie,  who are lost without him, as well as many cousins, friends, and teammates.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Andrew Marchand Sr., and maternal grandmother, Barbara Wheeler.

A gathering to celebrate Keeghan’s life will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, from 2 pm – 4 pm. If you wish, come in your sport team’s jersey to honour Keeghan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local SPCA or a charity of your choice.
