Elizabeth “Betty” Kynock, 87, of Oromocto, NB passed away December 11, 2025 at Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born on April 5, 1938 in Kinghurst NB. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah London; beloved mother of Robert (Norma) Kynock and Steven (Randi) Kynock of Oromocto, NB, Wayne (Ellie) Kynock of Lincoln, NB and daughter, Joanne (Andrew) Cockburn of Stratford, ON;  beloved grandma of 10: Alison Short (Josh), Timothy Kynock, Paige Clerke (Eli), Philip Kynock, Jade Kynock (Kristine), Mark Kynock (Kaleigh), Rilea Chisholm (Cory), Jonathan Cockburn (Meghan), Amanda Sauve (Keith) and Lauren Cockburn; and great grandma of 9.

Betty is survived by her sister, Beatrice Arbo of Saint John, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frederick; infant son, Timmy; sisters, Anne Marney and Shirley Earle; brother, Bill London, as well as her brothers-in-law, Lloyd Marney, Doug Earle, and Harvey Arbo; and sister-in-law, Margaret London.

Betty worked as an RNA at the Oromocto Public Hospital for 35 years and enjoyed her retirement spending time with the old coffee crew at the Oromocto mall, and taking care of her much-loved dogs, Abbey and Chloe. She had an exuberant love for Christmas and will be sadly missed by her family this year.

A celebration of life will be held at the Oromcoto Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, April 5, 2026 at 1:00 pm, with an interment to follow at the Oromocto Gardens Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, her family suggests donating to the Canadian Lung Association, Diabetes Canada, Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
