Obituary of Donald Walter Mosher

It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Walter Mosher announces his passing on December 13, 2025 at the Horizon’s Veteran’s Health Unit.  Born on January 10, 1936, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late Everett and Bernice Mosher. 

Surviving are his loving wife, Marlyne; son, Gordon Mosher, Sudbury, ON; daughter, Karen Cashol, Geary, NB; grandchildren, Aaron Carr, Donald Mosher, Shawn Carr and Bernice Mosher and many great grandchildren. 

Donald loved to garden and spending time outdoors.  He was a jokester that everyone who met him would remember him, making him well known as someone who was larger than life.  He made a home for his whole family. He loved to sing, even if it was a little off tune.  He loved music in general and often listened to gospel music.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Veteran’s Unit for all of the care they provided to Donald.

There will be a celebration of Donald’s life at a later date.

Donations in Donald’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
