Obituary of Susan Patricia McMinniman

The family of Susan Patricia McMinniman sadly announces that she passed away on December 26, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer. She was born on June 18, 1952 to the late Allen & Pauline (Turner) Cleghorn, and was the wife of the late David McMinniman.

Susan spent 26 years at the NB Department of Agriculture. In later years, she worked at the Giant Tiger in Oromocto. Both jobs resulted in life-long friendships which Susan cherished. Friends who became family were Susan and her family’s greatest source of love and support in her last year. Yvonne & Bob and their young grandchildren who adored their "Suzie Q", Carol, Sheila, Terri, Brenda, and Faye who loved her dearly; the feelings were mutual.

She is survived by her beloved brother, Bill Cleghorn (Angela) of Salisbury, New Brunswick; step-son, David McMinniman Jr. of Alberta; birth son, Trevor Watson, his wife, Mary Early Watson, and their children of the Fredericton area.  Reconnecting with Trevor was one of the highlights of Sue’s life. She will also be lovingly remembered by her many cherished nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Susan’s life will take place at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Oromocto SPCA, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
