Obituary of Mary Ella Moase

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Ella (Campbell) Moase on January 17, 2026, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital with family at her side. Born on June 28, 1938, in Park Corner, PEI, she was the daughter of the late Garnet and Lulu (Montgomery) Campbell, and loving wife to the late George Moase. 

Mary was a homemaker who made the house feel like a home. She loved her family and being a mom. Whatever she needed to be for her children, she would be. Whether that was a skating mom or a hockey mom, she was the best mom. 

She is survived by her sons, Alan Moase, and Harold (Janet) Moase; daughters, Shelley Moase (Mike Owen), and Donna Moase (Corey Langdon); grandchildren, Christopher, Angela, Mackenzie, and Liam; great grandchildren, Landon, Maya, Clara, Xavier, Jorja, and Aubree; sisters Eliza MacEwen, and Jean MacLean, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was predeceased by brothers, Bruce Campbell, and James Campbell; sister, Margaret Rayner, as well as brothers-in-law, Eric MacEwen, Sterling Rayner, and Rayford MacLean. 

In keeping with Mary’s wishes, a graveside service will take place at People’s Cemetery Kensington, PEI, at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Diabetes Canada or a charity of the donor’s choice.
