Obituary of Marian Lois Tibbits
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Marian Lois Tibbits (Hughes) on Sunday, February 8th. Born on November 2, 1954 in Waasis, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Hyulett and Geraldine Hughes and loving wife of the late Delbert Tibbits.
Marian was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved to bake, knit, and crochet. A seamstress by trade, a farm girl by birth, and a homemaker by choice, she made her house a home. You can still almost smell the fresh bread in the air…
Marian is survived by sons Matt Tibbits (Danielle), Andrew Tibbits (Lindsay); daughter Ruth-Emma (Leigh); grandchildren Julianna, Lexus, Jameson, Bennett, Everett, and Isabelle; sister Shirley, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marian was predeceased by her son John Tibbits, who she couldn’t wait to reunite with.
In keeping with Marian’s wishes there will be no funeral. Family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 12th from 3:00-5:00 at the family home on Nevers Road. A private burial will take place in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honour Marian’s memory to make a donation to Meaningful Connections Adult Day Centre. This was a program that Marian enjoyed attending where she made new friends and lasting memories.
