Obituary of Richard George Good
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard George Good on March 3, 2026, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB, on January 3rd, 1956, he was the son of the late Lawrence James and Myrtle Laura (O’Leary) Good. He was a beloved spouse of 47 years to Judy Ann (McCutcheon) Good.
Richard was someone who always loved to keep busy. He worked for 28 years with Armour Transport as a driver, dispatcher, and retiring as a Dock Supervisor. When he was not working, he was usually found in his garage, which was his “second” home. He was a handyman who loved tinkering around, creating and completing many projects while in the garage.
He will be missed by his high school sweetheart, Judy; children, Melissa Good, and Scott Good (Victoria Brown); grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Hattie and Charlee Good; father and mother-in-law, Bob and Meretta McCutcheon; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Johnson (Mike), and Kem Shears (Stephen); nephews, Sean Johnson, and Clint Read; niece, Tracey Hlady, as well as several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his sister, Bonnie.
In keeping with Richard’s wishes, a celebration of life will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Richard’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Oromocto SPCA.
