Obituary of Vernice Charlotte Saunders

The family of Vernice Charlotte Saunders sadly announces she passed away on March 10, 2026, at Hospice Fredericton, with her family by her side.  She was born on March 7, 1954 in Boat Harbour, Newfoundland to the late George and Nellie Woodward. 

Family was very important to Vernice, she loved her husband, Ed and her two sons dearly, they were her world.  She worked for the Department of National Defense, starting in Goose Bay, Labrador and then transferred to Oromocto, where she retired with her family.  She leaves behind her beloved dog, Jasper. 

Surviving are her husband, Edward; sons, Edward and Donald; brothers, Wayde (Sheila) and Brad (Darren); and sisters, Una (late Steven), Rhoda (Gerald) and sister-in-law Nena (Late Kie); and many nieces and nephews.

A Spring Interment will take place at a later date.
