Obituary of Micheline Rita Royal

The family of Micheline Rita (Carriere) Royal sadly announces her untimely passing on April 4, 2026. Born on July 7, 1980 in Mississauga, Ontario, she was the daughter of Michael and Evelyn Carriere. Though she fought bravely, her ailments were too much for her to overcome.

After completing her Gr. 12 in Ontario, Micheline went on to Sheridan College to receive her diploma in Office Administration while also being very active in the Student Enrollment Department. She moved to New Brunswick in 2007 and started a job as a payroll clerk with the Corps of Commissionaires, where she remained for the next 4 years. From there, she accepted a job with the University of New Brunswick’s Continuing Education Department, and finally moved on to working with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, where she remained until her passing.

Micheline was deeply loved and cherished by her husband, Mark Royal, for 21 years. On June 9, 2018, they tied the knot, truly committing to a love forever and always. They enjoyed 8 beautiful and fulfilling years of married life together. In her free time, Micheline enjoyed many activities, including spending time with her friends, craft nights, card nights, bonfires, weekends at the camper, girls’ shopping trips, painting, writing, girls’ weekends at the cottage, and dressing up her fur baby Percy.

Micheline leaves behind her loving husband, Mark, of Waasis, NB; step-daughter, Amanda Case (Clinton) and their children, Silas, Esau, and Freya of Oromocto, NB; step-son Johnathan Royal of Gagetown, NB; father, Michael Carriere (Nen Asube) of Toronto, ON; brother, Kenny Legge (Kathy Bonnel) of Marystown, NL; sister, Heather Carriere (Eula Ramos) and their child Tobi Ramos of Toronto, ON; brothers-in-law, Brian Royal (Luana) of Barrie, ON and James Royal of Halifax, NS; sister-in-law, Inez Royal of Halifax, NS; cousin, Laura Williams (Rob) and their 3 children Quinn, Declan, and Aiden of Toronto, ON; aunt, Ella White of Toronto, ON; many aunts, uncles, and cousins in NL, as well as so many friends in NB, NS, ON, and NL they couldn’t possibly all be listed but are in the family’s thoughts. She will also be dearly missed by her beloved animals Milo, Percy, and Minky.

She was predeceased by her mother, Evelyn (Legge) Carriere of Marystown NL, and her mother-in-law, Leona Royal of Halifax, NS.

Mark would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Halifax Infirmary ICU and burn unit, the doctors and nurses at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, and to the nurses and staff of Oromocto extra mural for the professional and loving care they took of his wife. Thank you all so very much.

A small service and celebration of life will be held at the Oromocto Legion on May 23, 2026 from 12:00-4:00pm. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association of New Brunswick.
