Obituary of Karen Lois MacIntosh

In Loving Memory of Karen Lois MacIntosh

Karen Lois MacIntosh, a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, at the age of 62 after a brief illness. Born on July 8, 1963, in St. Boniface, Manitoba, Karen spent her formative years between the prairies of Saskatchewan and Alberta, developing a lifelong appreciation for the comforts of home and the warmth of a cozy room.

Karen was a woman of simple pleasures and deep loyalties. Whether she was meticulously working on a diamond painting, playing Mario, or enjoying a laugh with her beloved A&W family, her presence brought a steady kindness to those around her. Above all, she was defined by the love she held for her family and the many friends who became like family over the years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Arlene and Thomas Bray.

Karen’s legacy of love lives on through her husband, Richard MacIntosh; her three children, Chris MacIntosh (Cheryl), Jen Stairs (Brad), and Stacy MacIntosh (Shane); her grandchildren, Kyle, Nikki, Brock, Christopher, Addisyn, Wyatt and Paisley.; her sister, Janice Noonan; and her brothers, Tom Bray and Dave Bray (Chris). She will also be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends.

Thank you to the staff at the Dr. Everett Chalmers hospital in ICU unit for all their care and compassion during her last days.

A celebration of Karen’s life will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm with words of remembrance at 2:30 pm. A private family interment will take place in the Geary, French Lake, Waterville Cemetery at a later date.

A heart that loved so many will be remembered by all who were lucky enough to know her. She is finally at rest, staying warm in the hearts of those she left behind.
