Obituary of Betty Clark

Our mother Elizabeth “Betty” Pearl (Smith) Clark ended the last chapter of her book on April 20, 2026. Her story started some 86 years ago on September 20, 1939, when she was born in Oromocto, New Brunswick, to Perley and Ruth Joan Smith.

Left to continue her story are her children, Colleen, Kevin (Tina); grandchildren, Calvin, Ali (Max), Colin (Aryanne), Shelby (Justin), ShaeLynn (Graham), and Linsey, as well as four beautiful great-granddaughters and another soon to arrive. She is further survived by her brother, Donald Gordon “Danny” Smith and his wife, Carol.

In addition to her parents, Betty is predeceased by her husband, George “Chalky” Clark, and her sister, Jackie Lambe.

Mom was proud. Proud to be from Oromocto, from New Brunswick, from Canada. I like to think she was proud of us. We were proud of her, always.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, beginning at 2:00 pm, in the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel in Oromocto, NB, with a reception to follow. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Oromocto SPCA, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
