Obituary of Clare MacIntosh

The family of Clare MacIntosh sadly announces she passed away on May 6, 2026 at Shannex Frederick Hall in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She was born on March 24, 1955 to Joseph and Bertha (Moran) MacIntosh in Fredericton, NB.

Clare was the sister of Andrew MacIntosh, Lorna MacIntosh, Nancy Cameron (Ralph Trepanier), Kathy MacIntosh, and Tom MacIntosh (Maria Fernandez); aunt of Robbie, Taylor, Joe, Nina, Zoe, Chris, and Julia, and great-aunt of Archie, August and Iyah.

After graduating from Sacred Heart School of Halifax, Clare went on to attend St. Thomas University in Fredericton where she worked towards an English Literature degree. She had a beautiful singing voice and sang in school performances, at churches, weddings, festivals, and many venues throughout her life, including as the lead singer in a band.

She was fun and funny, and dearly loved by her friends and family. Clare will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the Shannex staff at Brunswick Hall and Frederick Hall, where she was a resident for many years. The care given to her by her doctors, nurses, and all staff was beyond compare.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at the Oromocto Funeral Home in Oromocto, NB. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Chalmers Foundation.
