Obituary of Claire Mosher
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mary "Claire" Mosher on Sunday May 24, 2026. She passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, service, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Claire was a dear friend to many, and a dedicated community member whose kindness and generosity touched countless lives. A proud and active member of the Ladies Auxiliary, the Elks Club, and the Atlantic Gunners Association, she was devoted to these organizations that were so close to her heart and through which she formed many lifelong friendships. She gave selflessly of her time and energy, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. For many years, she participated faithfully in annual Poppy Drives, honoring veterans and supporting their families with deep respect and gratitude. She was also passionate about supporting children and families through the summer deaf camps, where her warmth, patience, and caring nature made a lasting impact on everyone she met.
She was the beloved wife of the late John Edward Mosher; treasured mother to Johnny Mosher (Cathy), David Mosher (Carole-Lynda), and Gary Mosher (Kenny); grandmother to Matthew, Ryan, Teri Lee (Adam), Jennifer (Barry), Lindsay (Joel), Evan (Aly) and Christopher (Ashley), and great-grandmother to Emilee, Abby, Jayden, Ari, Addisyn, Mason, Bennet, Caden, Axel and Lincoln.
Though she may be gone from our sight, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. A funeral service will take place following the visitation in the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 1:00 pm, with Fr. Callistus Abazie to officiate. Claire will be laid to rest in the Oromocto Pioneer Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
In keeping with her wishes, please honor her memory with a cheerful toast and a drink shared among friends and family. Memorial donations may be made to the Oromocto Legion Branch #93, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor's choice.
