Obituary of Addie Mae Donovan

The family of Addie Mae Donovan sadly announces she passed away in her home on June 16, 2026. Born in Upper Gagetown, New Brunswick on May 4, 1939, she was the daughter of Jacob and Edna (Close) Briggs.

Addie lived a quiet, peaceful life in Upper Gagetown, New Brunswick. She preferred to stay at home, watching NASCAR and listening to country music. A devout Baptist, she was a member of the Upper Gagetown Baptist Church for many years.

Left to mourn her passing is her son, Joe. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of more than 50 years, Norman Donovan, and her daughter, Dixie.

A graveside service will be held in the Upper Gagetown Cemetery on Friday, June 26, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am, with Rev. Dr. Perry Hanley officiating. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the IWK, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
