It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Harold Wendall Meade on June 21, 2026 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 26, 1937, in Swan Creek, NB, he was the son of the late Harry and Deltha (Randall) Meade.
Harold was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and was often accompanied by his friend Lester Brown. He always maintained a thriving garden, bringing him a deep connection to the land. After more than thirty years working as Stationary Engineer at the CFB Gagetown Central Heating plant Harold retired in 1995 and enjoyed his retirement as a skilled carpenter and a true jack-of-all-trades, continuing to use his hands to build, fix, and create. He would be the first person to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Harold was often with his dog, Levi at his side or in his lap.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda; children, Lisa (Steven) Jones and Jason (Jennifer) Meade; grandchildren, Jaron (Bailey) Jones, Brittany (Josh) Mabee and Chase Meade; great-grandchildren, Abby and Brady; brothers, Kenneth and Bliss Meade; sisters, Verna Poore and Phyllis Brown; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, James, Allen, Gerald, infant brother, Robert and his sister Rosie.
A special thank you to the Extramural staff, home care support, paramedics and the staff at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital for all the wonderful care that Harold received over the years.
