Obituary of John Dick Eldridge

It is with sadness that the family of John Dick Eldridge announces his passing on July 17, 2026 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on September 24, 1948 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Harvey and Jenniken (Vennaman) Eldridge. 

Surviving are his wife, Sharon; son, Patrick Eldridge; granddaughter, Alessandra “Ally” Eldridge (Michael Smith); step-son, Shaun Cudmore (Cathy); step-grandson, Basil Cudmore; step-sister, Cordelia Perry; brother-in-law, Doug Good; sister-in-law, Ruth Good; as well as his nieces, Sherry and Taunia Good.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by first wife, Margaret (Smart) Eldridge and his mother-in-law, Florence Good. 

Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Sunday, July 26, 2026 from 1-2 pm.  A funeral service will follow the visitation, beginning at 2 pm, with Pastor Rob Hunt officiating.
