Obituary of Efrem John Sacobie

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Efrem John Sacobie on August 19, 2026, at the age of 64.

Efrem was born on March 31, 1962, in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He was a loving family member and a hardworking man who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Efrem was predeceased by his grandparents, Stella and John Sacobie; his parents, Norman and Jennette Sacobie; and his siblings, Linda (Mavis) Lyons and Jennifer Sacobie.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Shirley Sacobie, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, godchildren, and cousins.

Efrem was a dedicated and hardworking man with many talents and trades. He was known for being organized, neat, and clean, and he took great pride in the things he cared about—especially his vehicles. He was someone who worked hard throughout his life and was always dedicated to his responsibilities.

Throughout the years, Efrem worked as a DNR & E Game Warden, fought fires, worked in fisheries, and used his many talents and skills in a variety of other trades and occupations. His strong work ethic and dedication were a big part of who he was.

Efrem will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his many talents, his pride in his work, and the love he shared with his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and all those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation for Efrem will take place at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Saturday, August 22, 2026 and Sunday, August 23, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 each day. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 11:00 am with a burial in the church cemetery to follow. A procession leaving from the Oromocto Funeral Home, through the Oromocto First Nation, and ending at the church will depart from the funeral home at 10:30am for those who would like to join Efrem's last ride.
