Our deepest and sincerest condolences to you all. Our hearts are saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Hurley. He was a wonderful man who was well liked, well-known and well respected around our communities. He loved to chat anytime he could and would always acknowledge you no matter if you had time to talk or not. Mr. Hurley, when I first met him, tried to come around as very stern (probably going back to his military days where he had to considering the position he held) but deep down he was just like a big teddy bear. A sweet man, who if he didn't have a smile for you, he would certainly have that little smirk. I have some fond memories that I will cherish. May you all find some comfort in knowing that others share in your sorrow. Thinking of you all during this difficult time. Thoughts and prayers are with you all. RIP Mr, Hurley. You will be missed. God Bless.

My day started with my daily visits with Frank Bernie at the mall Tim Hortons. I loved going over to their table and getting the latest gossip. Bernie was always letting me know the weather so I would be excited if there was going to be no school. He would spoil me every Christmas with a Tim card. My heart is broken that my morning visits are no longer but I know he and Frank are having coffee every morning. I send my condolences to his family who he loved very much.. god bless

Hello Mary Jane and the extended family - Very sorry to learn of the passing of Mary Jane's father. My sister-in-law and Mary Jane's neighbour at work, Sheila, passed on the news. Sending thoughts of support at this time. It is hard to lose a dad at whatever age. Trust you are thinking of fond memories.

Dear Mary Jane, Bernie and families. It was with a very heavy heart that I learned of your Dad's recent passing. Val and I offer our sincere condolences. While we all lost touch a bit over the years, I have many fun memories of your Dad, my uncle. He was always teasing me and calling Little Blaisie. Our two families grew close when we were kids, especially in London, On. I remember many good times and lots of laughs. Uncle Bernie always had a booming laugh that was contagious. Both he and my Dad (who passed in 1998) were very proud members of the Royal Canadian regiment (RCR). They both inspired me to join the Canadian Armed Forces in 1990. I always carried their love of the military and Canada with me. I thank your Dad for the many sacrifices he made in the service of Canada. Your Dad and my Mom, Colleen, (Bernie's sister) were proud Glace Bayers. Bernie leaves behind many great stories of growing up in the Bay. I know you both miss him dearly and your hearts ache. However, you have many fond memories to make you smile. Your Dad's spirt will live on. Take care. Pro Patria!
