Obituary of Donna Leah Emberley

Donna Leah (Bagley) Emberley of Sheffield, NB, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side, on August 13, 2022. She was the wife of the late Russell Emberley. Born on June 17, 1938, in Sheffield, NB, she was the youngest daughter of the late William and Florence (Moore) Bagley. Donna was an active member of the Sheffield United Church for many years. She helped and served within the church in various positions, such as an elder and a treasurer. She is survived by two children, Eric Chase (Karen) and Marjorie Chase (Tim Mills); three grandchildren, Charlene Carr, Shelby Rafuse (Stephen) and Kelli Chase (Graham Greene); two great grandchildren, Hannah Carr-Cartwright and Lucas Rafuse; step children, Neil (Christine) and Dwight Emberley and Wendy Sanford (Daniel); 5 step grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; a sister, Irene Middleton (Reginald); sisters-in-law, Ruby and Eppie Bagley, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was predeceased by brothers Richard, Kenneth and Darrell Bagley, and a sister Jean Levesque. Visitation will take place at Oromocto Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 6 – 8 pm. A memorial service will be held at the Sheffield United Church on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 2pm, with Rev. Cora Krommenhoek officiating. The family and church encourages guests to wear masks when attending the visitation and the service. Interment will be in the Sheffield United Cemetery following the service. Donations may be made to the Sheffield United Church, Sheffield United Cemetery Fund or a charity of the donor’s choice.
