Condolences to Patti, June, Darren and Buck. Betty had a quick wit and quick comeback that made us all laugh here at Maquapit Lake. She could really put Wayne in his place. Many a time we laughed until our sides hurt at Barb's legendary Happy Hours and suppers. She was kind and thought the world of her family. She had a full and happy life and will always hold happy memories for me.

Condolences and sympathy to Betty’s family and friends. Betty was the caregiver to my two children for years. We could not have chosen a better person. As a bonus, we got her husband Jack as well. I told my children this week(age 32 and 30)…that some of the kindness they have in their hearts was learned or passed on by Betty to them….she played such an important role in their childhood growth and memories. We were blessed to have her in our family as a dear friend.

I just met Betty about six years ago when she move into a complex on 75 Valcour Dr. She was my Neighbour and I spent many evenings with her and listening to all the wondering stories she would share with me about her Childhood and about her children growing up and about her husband (Jack) who was her best friend and companion. She loved him and her children very much. They were her life. I used to enjoy watching all the Shenanigans between Betty and her dog, Maggie. Maggie was the smartest dog I ever met. She kept Betty on her toes. Betty and I took several Bus tours with the Seniors, the longest tours was to Newfoundland. We had a great time. I missed Betty so much when she moved into Assistant Living and than Covid happened and we weren’t able to visit. She was the nicest Lady I knew. We had lots of laughs and we enjoyed each other’s company.
I know she is happy now with her Husband she loved so much. My thoughts and Prayers are with her children and family at this difficult time. Rest In Peace Betty. Until we meet again. Big Hugs! Love you. Judy Carleton

All of those “grown ups” from the camps on Serenity Lane now relocated to “Upper Camp Maquapit” are having a hella party welcoming Betty with a good strong drink and lots of hijinks! I can hear their laughs, their songs, and hollering at us kids to go jump in the lake. Patty, you have your mom’s laugh—and it reminds me of how much fun they all had out at camp. Sending you peace and the promise of more drinks out at camp with the cousins from the States—Michelle
