She will be deeply missed by her family, children, Kari (Roger) Harper-Merrithew, Kevin Arbeau, Kirby Arbeau and Susan (Norm) Arbeau; her grandchildren, Erin and Emma (Nathan) Merrithew, Maddie, Nate, Jeff and Jenna Arbeau; her husband, Burton Arbeau; sisters, Elaine Phillips and Linda Comeau; brothers, Allan (Eleanor) and Brian (Sandra) Seeley; sisters-in-law, Janice Seeley, Ann Harper, Mary Lou (Roger) Gagnon, Gloria Arbeau and Sandra (Jim) Baxter; brother-in-law, Russie (Carol) Arbeau, as well as many treasured nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her first husband, Romey Harper; brother, Russell; nephew, Greg; nieces, Tanya Lavigne and Jocelyn Comeau; sisters-in-law, Rachel Miller, Noreen McAleer, Irma Perry, Venie Fraser, Janie Profit, as well as brothers-in-law, Reggie, Donnie and Louis Harper, and James and Lawrence Arbeau. Marilyn worked proudly as a secretary for both the RCMP and Department of Agriculture and made many life-long friends there. As a member of the United Baptist Church in Nasonworth and Rusagonis Heritage Society, she was involved in her community. Everyone who met her was a recipient of her kindness and giving nature. She loved knitting, baking, was an avid 45’s player, and watching her team The Toronto Blue Jays, but her greatest joy was her family. She was loved by everyone who had the privilege to meet her. Our heartfelt thanks goes to the staff of White Rapids Manor in Fredericton Junction for Mom’s care over the past few years, especially in her final days. A memorial service will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 3 pm, with Rev. Jim Harrison officiating. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Stan Cassidy Center or the IWK.
