So sorry for the passing of Stella, for she was always very kind to me when I met her years ago as Member of the Legislative Assembly. She was a transcriber there, and then I saw her regularly at St Vincent de Paul Church. She was very whitty. I will always have fond memories of her and her husband Ed. sincere condolences to all.

I am so saddened to hear of your dear Mother’s passing. Where do I begin? She was my second mother when growing up. I stayed at your home as much as mine and Stella, although busy raising all of you girls, treated me with such kindness. I can still taste her yummy pink popcorn (love it!), and her delicious fudge! I recall having Kraft dinner for the first time (wasn’t so much a fan), the Kindness Club, her thoughtful poetry (I was so impressed your Mom was a published author), her wonderful Christmas gifts from the Regal catalogue (so cool), the stylish hand-me-downs, the trips to St.John (my first hotel stay), and of course all of the wonderful times our families spent together. My memories of Stella will last a life time, her love given so freely is etched on my heart always. Sending my love to all of you in your time of loss, hugs…. Maureen Cook (MOMBOURQUETTE) and family.

Theresa and family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom. It was always so nice to see her when she came into the office...such a lovely lady. I didn’t realize until I read the obituary that you and Shirley are sisters. Please give my warmest regards to her and her family as well. My sincere condolences to you all.
