Obituary of Courtney Louise Carr
The family of Courtney Louise Carr, 29, of Fredericton, New Brunswick, sadly announces she passed away on January 31st, 2023.
Courtney was born on November 18th, 1993, to David and Cindy (Coy) Carr in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Courtney touched many hearts and was always willing to offer a helping hand or a listening ear to those in need. She especially treasured her close friendships with Joe, Everett, and Thomas and her best friends Kaleigh, Mary Ellen, Sydney, and Ashley. Courtney was an amazing cook, and she took pleasure in sharing her home-cooked meals with family and friends. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and appreciated everything Mother Nature had to offer. She was kind and generous, and always willing to share a joke.
Courtney was an amazing mother to Allison Evelyn Rose. She was so proud of everything that Allie accomplished. She always shared heartwarming and comical videos of the things her Allie did together. They loved making crafts, listening to music, and dancing together. They went camping often and brought the tent inside when they weren’t able to get away. Once they even set up a kiddie pool in the living room!
Courtney was the glue that held her family together and is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Allison Carr; mother, Cindy Coy-Carr (Miles); brother, Tim Coy (Amanda); sisters, Crystal Snow (Andrew), Terri Carr, and Michelle Brown; grandfather, Harold Carr, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, David Carr; grandfather, Allie Coy, and grandmothers, Rosie Coy and Evelyn Carr.
A special thank you to the Paul family: Gizelle, Jamie, Maxine (Somerville), and David. Courtney thought of them as her second family, and their love and support was truly valued.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 11, at 1:00 p.m. at the Upper Gagetown River Road Lions Club. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Fredericton Homeless Shelter, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
