Obituary of Paul Basha

It is with great sadness that the family of Paul Basha announce his death at his home on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at the age of 74. Born in Charlottetown, PEI on January 24, 1949, he was the son of the late Jean & John Basha.

 

Paul is survived by his wife, Shirley (nee Walker) of 53 years and his daughter, Tracey (Marc).  He is also survived by sister, Sue (Damien), brother, Bert (Pam) and sister, Gloria (Ted).

 

In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by siblings Mary, Helen, Tina and Joe.

 

Paul served in the Royal Canadian Navy and translated his radio operator skills into a career at the Fredericton Airport with Nav Canada.

 

Anyone that knew Paul knew him as a "key" fixture in the community as a long time locksmith and his tremendous "motor" skills with his small engine repair business.

 

Paul was funny, generous and would help anyone in need.  Paul loved his family and had a special place in his heart for Lise and Marie.  A special thanks to Michelle, Wendy and Allison with Extra Mural for their kindness over the past two years. 

 

He will be dearly missed by Shirley and Tracey.
