Obituary of Gary James Daniel Gallant

It is with deep sadness that the family of Gary Gallant announces his passing on April 15, 2023, at White Rapids Manor.  Gary was born in Charlottetown PE, on August 7,1950 to the late Jim and Theresa (Gillis) Gallant. 

Gary is survived by his wife of 53 years Susan (Blinn) Gallant; two beautiful daughters Angie Gallant (Chris), Cindy McKillop (George); granddaughter and little princess Britiany (Martin); two grandsons he was so proud of Jacob McKillop (Emily)  and Dylan McKillop, as well as two great grandchildren Obbey and Cameron. He is also survived by his sister Sherry Bronson in Ontario, and Daniel, Lindsey and Christopher Bronson his niece and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his mom Lou, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Gary worked as a Milk man at Thistle Milk Dairy, at Boldons Irving as a mechanic, and then at the DECH until his retirement.  He loved to hunt and fish and to work on cars especially his Toyota truck his “Oddie”.

Susan, Angie and Cindy would like to say thank you to the ER and 4SE staff at the DECH for the exceptional care given Gary and ourselves. To the White Rapids Manor, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the compassion, care and support you have provided to Gary over the last 8 years. You were truly a blessing. 

A visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Saturday, April 22,2023 from 2:00-4:00 pm. For those who wish donations in Gary’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s/Dementia research or the Oromocto SPCA.
