Aileen Frances (Carscadden) Power, of Oromocto, passed away on April 24th, 2023, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on March 16th, 1933, in the Township of Russell, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late William and Hazel (Morrow) Carscadden.
She is survived by her children, Eleanor Mollins (Brian), Eugene Power (Connie), Michael Power, and Madonna Levesque (Richard); grandchildren, Zack, David, Madonna, Matthew, David, Ryan, Pamela, Jessica, Kyle, Morgan, and Jordan; great grandchildren, Olivia, Sophia, Makayla, Scarlett, Latoya, Elliot, Amelia, Hendrix, Ella, Brady, and Layna; brother, Eric Carscadden; sister, Eleanor Pritchard, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Aileen was predeceased by her husband John Power and brothers Bruce and John Carscadden.
Aileen was a kind, independent, generous soul, who loved her family deeply. True to her sweet nature, she had a soft spot for treats, often eating her dessert first. She found companionship in her various cats throughout the years, always spoiling and loving them like family. An avid sports fan, Aileen unwaveringly rooted for the Toronto Maple Leafs, proudly taunting those who didn’t share her sentiment. Aileen will be deeply missed by her loved ones; however, her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all she touched with her kindness.
Aileen's family would like to thank the staff at Windsor Court and the staff on 4 NW at the DECH for the care and kindness shown to Aileen during her time there.
In keeping with Aileen’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at a later time. For those who wish, donations in Aileen's memory may be made to the SPCA.
